Bimetal thermostats are snap-action devices which are used control temperature of an equipment or appliance. Usually engineers use it as a overheating protection. Sometimes bimetal thermostats are also called thermal switches or temperature switch.Contacts are thermally and electrically isolated. Dust-proof performance is achieved by using a ceramic or phenolic base protected by a metal enclosure. A variety of custom configurations are available which provide environmental protection.
